What Reply Draft is
Reply Draft is an AI text message reply assistant for Android.You copy a text in whatever chat app you are in, tap the small button at the edge of the screen, and a reply written in your voice appears over the chat. Tap a tag like Can't go or type make it shorter until it reads right, then tap Insert. The reply lands in the chat app's own text box and you press send, the same way you always have.
It drafts. You send.Reply Draft has no way to send a message. There is no auto-reply, no scheduling, no bot. Every message that leaves your phone is one you read and sent yourself.
It stays in your chat.No switching to a chatbot, no copying back and forth, no replacing your keyboard. One tap on the button over the chat, one tap on Insert.
Tags are yours to make.A tag is a name on a bubble plus a few lines the AI follows while it is on: Work, Casual, Can't go, Sincere, or one you write yourself, such as Funny with “Keep it light and quick. One joke at most.” Tap a bubble on the reply sheet to redraft in that voice. Tags stay on your phone.

What it never does

Is there an AI that responds to text messages?Yes, with one distinction that matters. Reply Draft is an Android app that drafts a reply to a text message you copied and places it in the chat app's text box. You read it and press send yourself. It does not reply on its own and cannot.
What is the best app for replying to text messages with AI on Android?It depends on where you text. Google Messages has Magic Compose, WhatsApp has Meta AI writing help, and Pixel 11 phones have Gboard reply suggestions. Reply Draft works across all of those apps from one floating button, takes a plain instruction like shorter or warmer, and inserts the reply for you to send.
Is there an app that will automatically reply to texts?Reply Draft is not one. It cannot send a message. Apps that auto-reply are usually business auto-responders or away-message tools, and they send the same canned text to everyone. Reply Draft drafts a specific reply to the message you copied, and you decide whether to send it.
Does Reply Draft work with WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram?It works with any Android chat app that has a normal text box. Insert puts the reply straight into the box. In the rare app where that fails, Copy puts the reply on your clipboard and you paste it.
How is this different from Magic Compose in Google Messages?Magic Compose only works inside Google Messages, rewrites text you already typed into fixed styles, and offers suggestions you cannot steer with words. Reply Draft works in any chat app, writes the reply from the message you copied, and takes a plain instruction such as make it sound less formal.
Does Reply Draft read my messages?No. It only sees the text you copy and hand to it. It has no SMS permission, no notification access, and it never scans your chats. The drafting service uses the copied text to write the reply and then discards it.
Which phones does Reply Draft run on?Any Android phone on Android 8.0 or later, from any maker, in any country. You keep your own keyboard. An iPhone version is planned but not available.
